All teachers are really kind and helpful and also very well-qualified. The school environment is great, as if we were a big family.
The infrastructure as a whole is very old. Internet is very bad. In some classes they even used a tape player.
Great teachers, good matrial and lots of extra activities.
Polytechnic West Thornlie. One great programmer lecturer. Easy to access the international student coordinator.
Polytechnic West Thornlie. Old equipment for IT courses. One teacher who was terrible at planning. Bad location but trains and busess come close. Car park always full after 8am. Restaurant.
Good teachers from different countries and cultures. Interactive and high quality lessons. Good support for students.
Wi-fi didn’t work in a few classrooms.
Family atmosphere where all teachers and staff know you by your name, making it a very nice environment for learning. Well-qualified teachers with excellent teaching methods; many of them end up becoming good friends. Activities developed by the school to help their students to interact, such as sports, cultural tours, parties and barbecues among others.
I don’t have anything to complain about the school in this whole year I spent there.
It was great to improve my English and my knowledge in the area of environment, also helped me to get a job in a multinational company in my area.
It was a bit far and I had to get the freeway during peak hour.
TAFE is very multicultural so it was amazing studying with people from many different backgrounds. The Lecturers were helpful and kind. In my last year at TAFE we worked with the industry and was good that we could get some networking.
The Staff, apart from the lecturers were not very helpful, especially the career centre. They did not help much with job hunting.
Great teachers; They put you in a class with an appropriate level to make your English the best it can be. Variety of levels
Being in a building with relatively small corridors. Also, I don’t find the environment to be very pleasant.
Excellent location, good teachers, great focus on the students.
The afternoon class could be improved to encourage more writing and conversation.
All good, quality education.
IELTS material and nationality mix.
1) Teachers very good, but every rule has its exception. 2) Location. 3) Extras activities.
1) There are only a few facilities; eg, microwave, refrigerator, a few chairs and tables in the playground at lunchtime and in the winter you can not use the playground due to the cold weather and rain. So there is not enough space and we make use of the classroom for lunch; something that does not become enjoyable because the smell of food fills the room. 2) I had a bad experience with a teacher from Cambridge from the FCE level, and all the other students also felt the same- that the teacher had no instructive ability to teach us our level t. 3) My Cambridge - FCE class had five Brazilians, four Koreans and one Indian. The mix of nationalities wasn’t great.
The Milner is an amazing school! The teachers are excellent, the classes are dynamic and you can find students from all countries. The turnover of teachers and the exchange of levels favor the interaction with many people along the way. Also, the extra class activities are frequent and very varied, but always fun! And the staff is always available to help us. For the quality offered, it's worth every dollar spent.
As a brazilian, same cons of any school in Australia ... many Brazilians. But this is the only con.
